We are Mike Claus and Nancy Schneider.  Together with our little dog Mac, we travel the country with our recumbent trikes, riding on great trails in interesting places.

Who are we and how do we dare call ourselves Gourmets?

Our blog is one of joy, love, happiness for lives well lived.  We have been married for 28 years. We have lived in Baltimore, Maryland, Stamford, Connecticut, Raleigh, North Carolina, Irvine, California, and now live in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. During our careers, we worked for major Healthcare Diagnostic and Device companies throughout the US.  Through our careers, we traveled to amazing places around the world, ate at incredible restaurants, but didn’t have the time to fully enjoy our wonderful opportunities.  14 years ago, we moved to California thinking it would be a five year stay, at most. We lived in Newport Coast for 12 years and purchased a home in Irvine. We loved living the California life. It took our love for food, cooking, wine and biking to new levels.
