Every tour journal or blog that I’ve read (and I’ve read a lot of them!) includes a big section full of technical descriptions of the bikes and the equipment used. Let’s face it, many of the people who read these things are fellow cyclists, and many cyclists are bike technology gear heads who just love to talk about bikes and chains and gears and racks and panniers etc, etc, etc. Well, surprise! I’m no different really, I love all that stuff too.
But I also know that the real point of my blog is to reveal the spirit of adventure and the discovery of the magic I find in people I meet and places I visit along the way. So I decided to put this technical, bike-weenie, gear head stuff here in it’s own special section where you can revel in it to your heart’s content.
