I love this easy, tasty pasta dish. If you add a nice green salad, it is a complete meal. It can be made with mussels as well but if you can’t get good shellfish, you can make it with just shrimp. I cook the shrimp first because I like it with a sear on it and not just cooking it in the sauce, but it is up to you.

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic rough chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1 cup white wine Sauvignon blanc or light chardonnay
- 1/2 cup clam juice bottled
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 lb clams little necks are preferable
- hot pepper flakes to taste
- 1 handful flat leave parsley rough chopped
- 1 lb linguini

Instructions
- Added olive oil to a pan. Heat up the olive oil and add the chopped garlic. When the garlic turns brown (but not burnt), take out the garlic.
- Add butter to the pan until melted
- Add the shrimp and cook for a couple of minutes on each side and remove it from the pan. Put the shrimp in a bowl until the sauce and the clams are done.
- Add white wine, chopped tomato, and clam juice and bring to a slight boil.
- Add the clams. They should open within a 5-10 minutes
- Add clams to the bowl with the cooked shrimp
- Add cream, add hot pepper to taste and cook for a 5 minutes.
- Add the clams and shrimp back into the sauce and add parsley just before serving. Cook linguini per package instructions. Serve over linguini. Enjoy
