“What are the best shorts to wear while riding my recumbent?” This topic arises surprisingly often within our little community. I’ve ridden for several years in board shorts, and I’ve come to believe they are the best shorts for recumbent cycling in warm weather. I’ll try to tell you what the alternatives are, and why I’ve ultimately decided the board short is the perfect recumbent cycling short.

The next trip for The Recumbent Gourmet is in the works. Nancy and Mike are planning to get in a short tour before the holidays to Florida’s iconic Key West.
I’ve been home for a couple of weeks now, so I’ve had time to reflect on the trip to St. Augustine and compile some last thoughts. I’ll try to make a record of what went well and what did not, which equipment was great and which I won’t take again, and anything else that I’d like to remember for the next tour.
